Founded in 1999 by Dr. A. K. Shukla, we set out to build a university that treated breadth as rigor, not compromise.
AK Shukla Global Institutions began in 1999 with a single classroom block and forty students studying literature and education side by side. Dr. Shukla's founding conviction was simple: that the act of teaching and the act of studying the humanities are really the same discipline, practiced from different ends.
Over the next two decades, that single block grew into a 200-acre campus housing the School of Arts and the School of Education, a research library, and a residential community of scholars from more than forty countries. What hasn't changed is the founding promise — that every student leaves able to read closely, write clearly, and teach what they know.
AK Shukla Global Institutions opens with 40 students studying Literature and Education side by side.
The School of Arts launches its first Master's programs, alongside the university's first undergraduate research grants.
Student representation grows to over 30 countries following new exchange partnerships across Asia and Europe.
The School of Education adds the BTC route alongside its existing B.Ed. program, widening access to teacher training.
AK Shukla Global Institutions is recognized among the region's leading multidisciplinary universities.
